Jessica Crutchfield is an attorney assisting in all areas of environmental due diligence and risk management for property owners and lenders.
She represents both small business owners and large real estate companies with a nationwide footprint assisting these clients with identifying environmental risks and offering solutions to manage those risks to complete deals and redevelopments. She advises on contractual language for purchase and sale and indemnification agreements and is seasoned at reviewing and negotiating environmental insurance coverage. Jessica has overseen the environmental aspects of large redevelopments of contaminated properties and assisted in obtaining “no further action” or case closure for environmental cases. In addition to her work related to acquisitions, dispositions, redevelopment and property management, Jessica reviews, negotiates and advises clients regarding the purchase of environmental insurance policies for loan originations and renewals. She drafts language for environmental provisions of loan documents, evaluates environmental escrow release requests for loan servicers, and evaluates the findings and recommendations of environmental reports in relation to representations and warranties for securitization of loans.
While in law school, Jessica was a member of the law review and her comment on regulation of particulate matter under the Clean Air Act was selected for publication. She was an extern for two semesters at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Prior to joining McRoberts & Hartis, P.C., Jessica negotiated leases for a large telecommunications company.
